About

Joydrop Wellness was created from a simple belief: It is important to get an understanding about anything that involves your life and your health. Healthcare can become overwhelming quickly.

A person may be preparing for childbirth, just gave birth and dealing with postpartum, facing a serious diagnosis, recovering from a hospital stay, navigating a transplant evaluation, or struggling to obtain medication and follow-up care.

Joydrop Wellness helps individuals and families slow the process down, organize information, monitor the situation, prepare questions, follow up on concerns, and better understand what is happening and what may need to happen next.

“At Joydrop, caring for clients is not just a service, it is a responsibility.”

In addition to her consulting work, Nichelle conducts independent patient safety, healthcare accountability, and public-interest research examining the systems, policies, conditions, and decisions that can affect patients, families, healthcare workers, and communities.

Her research focuses include maternal and postpartum safety, preventable patient harm, healthcare access, health disparities, workplace conditions that may affect patient care, public policy, healthcare-system vulnerabilities, and failures within care pathways.

Through Joydrop Wellness Insights™ and The Sunflower Advocate, as well as independent research, speaking, legislative engagement, community conversations, public education, and activism, Nichelle examines not only what happened, but why it happened, where systems may have broken down, what warning signs or opportunities may have been missed, and what can be learned to reduce the likelihood of similar harm occurring again.

This work reflects a central principle of Joydrop Wellness™:

It is always important to get an understanding about anything that affects your life and your health. Through research, speaking, rallies, legislative advocacy, Joydrop Wellness Insights, and The Sunflower Advocate, she encourages people to examine the facts, ask difficult questions, and seek meaningful improvement.

Our Mission
To help individuals, professionals, organizations, and communities get an understanding of complex healthcare and patient-safety issues.

Through consulting, research, education, case analysis, healthcare navigation, and public-interest work, Joydrop Wellness™ seeks to bring greater clarity to healthcare situations, identify risks and system gaps, strengthen care pathways, and contribute to the prevention of avoidable harm.

We cannot control every healthcare outcome. But we can ask better questions, recognize risks earlier, learn from what has already occurred, and work toward preventing the next avoidable harm.
